WHITE CHALK

John’s book ‘White Chalk’, charts his journey from the corporate world to the hills of Nepal. The story covers a five-year period, as he battles corruption, bureaucracy, social and cultural constraints, and revolutionary Maoists to bring education to a remote community in the foothills of the Himalayas. We share his joys and frustrations, highs, and lows as he establishes a charity that builds fifteen schools and opens thirty kindergartens, raising £750,000 along the way. We share his fear when a devastating earthquake hits and threatens to undo all his hard work. The book is expected to be released by Spring 2021.
