Johns’s commitment to world change through empowering youth is reflected in the charity he founded. He uses public advocacy and a unique fund-raising concept to engage supporters and raise funds for projects which educate children from marginalised communities and protect, inform, and nurture young women.
Children Of The Mountain, founded by John in 2009, provides educational infrastructure, teacher training and dual language literacy programs to children in the hill communities of rural Nepal. The charity promotes UNESCOs ‘Right to Education’ and aligns programs to sustainable development no4.
Children of the Mountain is officially registered in the UK and annually audited. The organisation takes care to treat the children and communities it supports with respect and dignity without creating an environment of dependency.
